Outfit #2

I have realised I have been really bad with putting on outfits, so before I went out for a meal with the boy tonight I took some photos (well he did, aw) This isn't the most inventive or colourful outfit, but lets face it, my style isn't exactly colourful. I have had this jumper for ages and hardly ever wore it, so thought it was high time to get it out of the wardrobe. I felt a bit preppy in this outfit, probably because of the grey jumper, tights and socks - grey love!

Jumper - Zara
Shorts - Vintage Levi's
Tights - Tesco
Socks - Mum's
Brogues - Topshop
Rings - Topshop
Necklaces - Vintage
Nails - Grace Green, Models Own

Models Own - I bow down to you

I have noticed that I don't write very much when it comes to blogging, mostly because I never have the time and usually I'm just blogging about trivial stuff like clothes and what not. However I have decided on a belated new years resolution, to not just use my blog as a means to moan about all the things I cant afford (blah) which has been the main focus since I actually started keeping up with it and not leaving about a year in between posts, but to sort of treat it like a diary and write more about me etc. Except not the really cringey diary type stuff you used to write when you were 12, speaking of which, I found my old diary the other day and it is horrific! I blab on about fancying Gareth Gates and Ben from A1. Bloody hell. So yeah, I need to write more, starting from now! (Ok tomorrow, Im too tired right now, plus I need a new layout, I'm bored of this one)

Also, yummy nail varnishes! I just bought Utopia nail varnish from Models Own website and got a free Kohl pencil with it :) Having bought one I now want them alllll! A few of my favourites are Peach Puff, Beths Blue, Grace Green and Nude Beige. Plus there is a lovely coral lipstick I would like. Bit of a pastel whore me.. Perhaps next weeks wages can be spent on that website instead of petrol; I need to walk everywhere more anyway..

Daisy Knights

One day when I was bored I flicked through mum's You magazine and found a little piece on jewellery designer Daisy Knights, a graduate from Central St Martins (one of the most impossible art uni's to get into..somehow I have applied, madness I know) Anyway, when I went onto her website I fell in love. She creates delicate rock and roll esque pieces from a variety of metals and her jewellery has been seen on the likes of Alexa Chung. Despite the skulls adorned on many of her pieces, all of her jewellery is handmade in the UK using ethically sourced materials. I love it! Unfortunately it's a little out of my price range (little being an understatement) and also my birthday is a long long way away, but I can hope! Maybe when I'm older and richer..

I should have been born a few decades ago..

I love old film photos, I've always loved the quality they give, it's a quality that digital can't beat, no matter what. Don't get me wrong I love my DSLR but I prefer film by a long way. The grainy, de saturated look is just so lovely and aged. These are some photos I found on http://weheartit.com/ which is a site full of other peoples snaps, from art to fashion to photography. It's a brilliant source of inspiration but there are never ending photos, when you are looking through it gives you a feeling of frustration, that you are probably missing tonnes of amazing ones, but nobody in there right mind would have the patience to sift through the thousands...well unless you had no life..

Finally, outfit #1

Ooh I'm a happy girl, I ordered these Levi shorts from Rokit the other day and they have ARRIVED :) I've been wanting a really old vintage pair for ages, and these have lovely ripped edges and I like the dark denim. I also bought this cardi from Topshop which I love, and have had this vintage scarf for ages but never worn it as a headscarf before, I think it works quite well! The round pendant necklace is vintage and the little shell one is from Topshop. My belt is also vintage and the t-shirt is from...you guessed it, Topshop. I really need to stop spending all my money in there..

La vie boheme

I absolutely love this bag from Topshop, I really need one this sort of size to take with me for weekends away etcetera, and this one is perfect. I am also loving the whole artsy craftsy trends this Spring. There are lots of folky prints, florals and laser cut suede clothes coming in right now and I am so into it! Sort of western american meets british folk. And these loafers are soo nice...it's a pity I cant afford everything..
